Carlos Slim
Carlos Slim Helú flew from La Paz’s General Juan Domínguez Cota Airport to his home base at Toluca International Airport on June 9, 2026, a short 93-minute hop in his Gulfstream G650, tail XA-CLR. The flight ended a multi-day stay in Baja California Sur, where his aircraft had been parked since June 7.
The return comes the same week Forbes México reported that Carlos Slim’s net worth surged 51.5% to a historic $125 billion, driven by a spectacular 261.6% profit jump at América Móvil and reduced financing costs. The magazine noted his Grupo Carso infrastructure arm struggled, but telecom gains more than offset the drag, cementing his status as Mexico’s richest person.
Slim’s primary residence remains a modest six-bedroom home in Lomas de Chapultepec, not far from Toluca. The brief La Paz sojourn likely involved personal or business interests, but the broader pattern is clear: even as his empire expands, Slim’s flying habits remain efficient and contained, consistent with a man who values function over flash.
