The INEOS billionaire’s short hop from Nice lands just days after explosive court filings in the dispute with Sir Ben Ainslie.

Jim Ratcliffe
Jim Ratcliffe flew from Nice to Geneva on June 9, 2026, a 47-minute hop aboard his Gulfstream G650 (M-OVIE). The departure from LFMN, near his Monaco residence, and arrival at LSGG, a frequent destination, suggest business as usual for the INEOS chairman.
But the flight touches down in the same week the legal fight over the AC75 yacht Britannia intensified. On June 5, Athena Racing filed a 41-page defence in the High Court, claiming Ratcliffe’s INEOS executives told Sir Ben Ainslie that Ratcliffe would “burn your house down” if assets weren’t handed over, per the defence documents reviewed by media including the Manchester Evening News and Yachting World. Ratcliffe’s INEOS is seeking return of assets it says it funded with £174 million.
Ratcliffe’s recent flight history shows a pattern of transatlantic hops and visits to Canada and the Caribbean, with this Geneva trip breaking from that rhythm. Geneva, a hub for international arbitration and INEOS’s Swiss operations, may host discussions about the escalating dispute or other portfolio matters – but the court filings give the journey a pointed backdrop.
