Jeff Bezos
Jeff Bezos flew from Lafayette, Louisiana, to Mount Ida, Arkansas, on May 12, 2026, a 55-minute hop in his Pilatus PC-24 (N194PJ). The short-field jet touched down at Bearce Airport, a rural airstrip in the Ouachita Mountains roughly 90 miles from the Texas border.
The trip arrives the same week Bezos is pushing ahead with his $147 million Indian Creek Island megaproject, per a Hello! magazine report on April 30. The Amazon executive chairman is consolidating three adjacent properties on the man-made island, a gated enclave that also counts Mark Zuckerberg and Tom Brady as neighbors. The Pilatus PC-24, designed for short and unpaved runways, is the logical choice for reaching remote construction sites or checking on the 127-meter superyacht Koru, which is too large for most marinas.
Bezos has flown this aircraft frequently between Louisiana and Arkansas in recent days, with four logged trips since May 6. The pattern suggests repeated visits to the region, likely tied to his expanding property portfolio or Blue Origin's operations at the Corn Ranch spaceport in nearby Van Horn, Texas.
