NextEra Energy’s Embraer Praetor 600 (N31MW) touched down at Teterboro Airport early Thursday morning, completing a 2-hour 26-minute hop from Palm Beach. The flight arrived just after midnight on May 14, 2026.
The trip comes the same week NextEra Energy’s senior management team is fanning out for investor meetings throughout May and June, per a company press release May 4. The roadshow follows a strong first quarter in which NextEra contracted a record 4 GW of new generation projects, including solar, battery storage, and wind, as CEO John Ketchum highlighted on the April 23 earnings call.
NextEra Energy has been logging frequent flights to Washington and San Francisco in recent days, but this New York-area visit fits the pattern of a major utility holding company pressing the flesh with institutional investors. The timing is notable: Ketchum recently urged Republicans in Washington to keep renewables on the table, warning that taking them off risks losing the AI race. For now, the focus is on selling the growth story to Wall Street.
