Altria flew from Richmond International Airport to Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, Kentucky, on May 15, 2026, a 61-minute hop aboard its Gulfstream G600, tail N805AG. The flight arrived at 10:30 a.m. local time.
The same week, Altria's chief executive officer Billy Gifford retired, effective May 14, after more than 30 years with the company, per a Nasdaq press release. Salvatore Mancuso succeeded him as CEO, and Heather Newman became CFO. Lexington is not a typical Altria destination — the company's recurring routes include Washington, Chicago, London, Miami, and Austin — but the trip coincides with the leadership transition and the company's annual shareholder meeting, which concluded the day before the flight.
The G600 had been busy in the days prior: it flew from Richmond to Chicago O'Hare on May 12, then to Reno and back to Chicago on the same day, before a May 14 run from Richmond to Toronto and Chicago again. The Lexington visit may relate to Altria's contract manufacturing or supply-chain operations in the region, though the company has not publicly disclosed a specific event there.
