Altria's Gulfstream G600, tail N805AG, departed Richmond on the morning of May 20 and flew a triangular route over the Atlantic before returning to Richmond just before 8 p.m. the same evening, according to flight data. The roughly six-hour round trip touched down at Richmond International Airport at 19:43 UTC after spending time in the vicinity of the Bahamas.
That same week, Altria installed Sal Mancuso as its new chief executive officer following the retirement of Billy Gifford, who stepped down after the company's annual shareholder meeting on May 14, per a Nasdaq press release. The trip's timing — just days after the C-suite change — suggests the flight may have involved executive travel related to the transition or a private event, though no public appearances or meetings in the Bahamas were disclosed.
The G600 has been busy in recent weeks: on May 14 it flew from Chicago to Michigan, and on May 15 it shuttled between Lexington, Kentucky, and Richmond before heading north to Michigan again. The pattern of short-haul trips to the Midwest and Northeast is consistent with Altria's corporate travel between its Richmond headquarters, manufacturing sites, and investor events.
