Chubb
Chubb flew from Northeast Philadelphia Airport to Westchester County Airport on June 10, a 37-minute hop in its Gulfstream G650ER (N846CB). The short trip placed the insurer's top leadership within easy reach of Manhattan the same week a legal dispute with the Archdiocese of New York enters a new phase.
On May 21, a court-appointed referee denied Chubb's bid to block a deposition of CEO Evan Greenberg in a coverage fight over clergy sex-abuse claims, per Bloomberg Law and Insurance Journal this week. The Archdiocese wants to question Greenberg directly, arguing the decision to deny coverage was made at the highest level. The annual general meeting in Zurich on May 21 also saw shareholders approve a 5.2% dividend increase, highlighting a busy period for the company.
Chubb's N846CB is a long-range jet that regularly links its Zurich headquarters with New Jersey and Philadelphia-area airports. The brief hop from KPNE to KHPN, where the company also shuttled in May, suggests a logistical connection to the New York legal proceedings rather than the newer Philadelphia office tower at 2000 Arch Street, which opened May 11.
