Citigroup lands in Westchester the night before its Investor Day 2026
The short hop from Teterboro came hours before CEO Jane Fraser unveiled new profit targets and a $30 billion buyback plan.

Citigroup
Citigroup flew from Teterboro Airport to Westchester County Airport on May 13, a 32-minute hop covering just 29 miles at a maximum altitude of 3,125 feet. The Bombardier Global 6000, tail number N1812C, touched down at 11:36 p.m. local time.
The same week, Citigroup held its first full Investor Day in four years at its New York headquarters. As detailed by the bank’s own materials and coverage from Banking Dive and American Banker, Chair and CEO Jane Fraser presented a “new Citi” — one that has completed a multiyear transformation and is now targeting a return on tangible common equity of 11% to 13% by 2027, along with a $30 billion share buyback plan. The flight’s timing, the evening before the event, suggests it was part of the logistical choreography for the investor presentation.
The move from Teterboro to Westchester echoes a recent pattern: on May 11, the same aircraft flew from a location near Stamford, Connecticut, back toward the Teterboro area. Westchester County Airport, a common base for corporate aviation serving the northern suburbs, may have been chosen for convenience ahead of the next day’s meetings. For a bank that operates globally, the short repositioning flight was a small but telling piece of a much larger strategic pitch.
