ConocoPhillips
ConocoPhillips flew from Houston to Williston, North Dakota, on May 18, arriving at Williston Basin International Airport after a two-hour, 37-minute flight aboard its Embraer ERJ-145XR, tail N284CP. The aircraft, delivered to the company earlier this month, is part of a newly announced air shuttle service for employees in the lower 48 states, per ch-aviation.
The same week the flight lands, ConocoPhillips is rolling out that shuttle network, which connects Houston with Midland, Texas; Carlsbad, New Mexico; Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and Williston — the heart of the Bakken shale play. The company has been expanding its aviation footprint, adding the E145 to a Houston fleet that includes two Gulfstream G550s and a GVII, while its Alaska subsidiary runs fly-in-fly-out operations for North Slope oilfields.
Recent flight data shows the aircraft has been shuttling between Houston and Midland, as well as Carlsbad and Bartlesville, since its delivery in early May. The Williston trip fits a pattern: ConocoPhillips is using the new jet to move personnel efficiently across its operational hubs, a quiet but telling sign of the company's focus on infrastructure-led growth in both the lower 48 and Alaska.
