Costco Wholesale
Costco Wholesale flew from Pakoon Airstrip in Arizona to Henderson Executive Airport on May 21, a 33-minute hop aboard its Gulfstream G280, tail N82CW. The aircraft, one of four in the company’s fleet, is registered to Costco Wholesale’s Issaquah headquarters and typically shuttles executives between warehouses, suppliers, and corporate events.
The same week, Costco Wholesale holds its annual shareholder meeting in Las Vegas, as detailed in the company’s proxy filing with the SEC. The gathering, scheduled for May 22, gives members and investors a chance to vote on board nominees and executive compensation, and to hear from CEO Ron Vachris about the retailer’s 890-plus locations and global expansion plans.
The flight follows a pattern of short-haul trips this month: on May 15, the same aircraft flew from San Diego to Visalia and back, and on May 14 it moved from Trenton to Washington Dulles. The Henderson landing puts Costco Wholesale’s leadership within minutes of the meeting venue, a routine but deliberate use of the company’s in-house aviation resources.
