Donald Trump flew from Palm Beach International Airport (KPBI) to Lynden Pindling International Airport (MYNN) in Nassau, Bahamas, on May 22, a 44-minute hop aboard his Boeing 757-200 (N757AF). The trip, which landed just before 10:25 a.m. local time, is a short flight from his Mar-a-Lago residence to a familiar leisure destination.
The quick Bahamas trip coincides with an ongoing standoff over airspace near Mar-a-Lago. Palm Beach County, in a lawsuit filed Dec. 12, is demanding the FAA explain its October 2025 order banning all flights within one mile of Trump's estate around the clock — a rule that rerouted commercial traffic over roughly 21,000 homes, per the [Palm Beach Post](https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story/news/local/westpb/2026/01/22/west-palm-beach-homes-plane-noise-pbia-flight-path-faa-mar-a-lago/88268049007/). The county expects answers from the FAA as early as May. Meanwhile, the FAA shifted flight paths again in January to move some noise away from West Palm Beach neighborhoods.
Trump has kept a busy flying schedule this month. His personal jet made a round-trip between Palm Beach and the Washington area on May 8 and May 10, consistent with official duties. The Nassau flight, however, appears to be a personal trip — a brief escape to the islands as the legal fight over his home airspace grinds on.
