Donald Trump flew from Palm Beach International Airport to New York Stewart International Airport on June 15, a 2-hour-27-minute trip aboard his Boeing 757-200 (N757AF). The flight arrived ahead of a rare public appearance in his former hometown.
The same evening, Trump attended Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden, becoming the first sitting president to attend an NBA Finals game, per an Associated Press report. Invited by Knicks owner James Dolan, Trump watched from Dolan's suite alongside his granddaughter Kai and several Cabinet secretaries. The crowd reaction was mixed: he was booed when shown on the arena screens during the national anthem, though Trump later told reporters he thought the reception was "very good" and "mostly cheers."
The trip marks a return to New York City for Trump, who gave up his longtime residency for Florida in 2019 and has rarely visited since. His aircraft, based at Palm Beach International when not in Washington, has made several recent trips to the New York area, including a June 3 flight to LaGuardia. The Knicks ultimately lost the game 115-111.
