Donald Trump flew from Olive Branch, Mississippi, to New York’s LaGuardia Airport on June 18, arriving shortly before 11 p.m. after a two-hour flight aboard his Boeing 757-200, N757AF. The trip followed a whirlwind day in France, where he signed a memorandum of understanding with Iran at the Palace of Versailles during a G7 state dinner, per the BBC.
The same week Trump returned to New York, the NBA champion New York Knicks accepted an invitation to visit the White House, as confirmed by owner James Dolan in a WFAN interview and reported by NBC New York. Trump, a longtime friend of Dolan, attended Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden on June 8, making him the first sitting president to attend an NBA Finals game. The Knicks’ championship visit will be the first by an NBA team during either of Trump’s terms.
Trump’s flight to LaGuardia also continues a pattern of New York-area arrivals: he flew from Palm Beach to the region on June 15 and again on June 3, reflecting the city’s role as both a political and personal hub. The Olive Branch departure suggests a stopover after the G7 summit, possibly related to refueling or logistics before the final leg home.
