DuPont, the specialty chemicals maker behind Tyvek and Kevlar, flew its Gulfstream G550 (N581D) from Wilmington Airport in a brief 10-minute round-trip on June 18. The aircraft climbed to just 2,050 feet, registering a top ground speed of 192 knots—likely a post-maintenance check flight.
The short hop comes the same week DuPont prepares for its 1-for-3 reverse stock split, which takes effect June 24, as announced May 26 after shareholder approval on May 21. The company also reaffirmed its 2026 guidance, with CEO Lori Koch citing pricing actions that offset Iran conflict-related costs, per a June 18 Marketscreener transcript. DuPont raised its adjusted EPS outlook to $2.35–$2.40 in April, per Tradevae.
The Wilmington-based Gulfstream has been active recently, flying to Michigan, Florida, and even Luxembourg and Italy earlier in June. The reverse stock split and guidance reaffirmation underscore a busy season for the chemical giant, even as its jet stays close to home.
