Eli Lilly landed at Indianapolis International Airport on May 12 at 23:54 local time, concluding a 1-hour 33-minute flight from Morristown Municipal Airport in New Jersey. The Gulfstream G500 (N308EL) had departed the New York area just hours earlier, touching down at the company's home base late Tuesday.
The same week, Eli Lilly announced an additional $4.5 billion investment across two of its three Lebanon, Indiana, manufacturing sites and opened its first dedicated genetic medicine facility, per a PRNewswire report on May 6. The expansion, which brings total Indiana capital commitments since 2020 to more than $21 billion, will support production of the newly approved weight-loss pill Foundayo and the investigational triple agonist retatrutide, among other therapies.
The return flight follows a broader travel pattern for the company's fleet: over the prior three days, the same aircraft had shuttled between Indianapolis and the Boston area, then to Morristown, suggesting a sequence of business meetings in the Northeast before executives returned to headquarters for the week's milestones.
