Eli Lilly flew from Teterboro to Indianapolis early on May 20, arriving at 12:30 a.m. after a 1-hour, 26-minute Gulfstream G500 flight. The trip comes just hours after the pharmaceutical giant reported its first-quarter 2026 earnings, which blew past analyst estimates on the back of blockbuster Zepbound and Mounjaro demand per a CNBC report on April 30.
The same week, Eli Lilly revealed that more than 20,000 patients have started its newly approved oral GLP-1 pill Foundayo in its first weeks on the market, according to an Indianapolis Star report. CEO Dave Ricks said some 1,000 people a day are beginning the drug, and 80 percent of those patients are new to GLP-1 therapy entirely. The Indianapolis-based company also announced an additional $4.5 billion investment across its Lebanon, Indiana, manufacturing sites including its first dedicated genetic medicine facility per a PRNewswire release on May 6.
The arrival continues a busy travel pattern for N308EL. The aircraft flew from Indianapolis to Teterboro earlier on May 19 as well as May 18, and returned to Indiana each time, suggesting the trips were tied to investor meetings or regulatory briefings ahead of the earnings call. The G500 regularly shuttles between Indianapolis and the New York area, where Eli Lilly maintains a corporate presence for financial and regulatory discussions.
