Eli Lilly landed at Indianapolis International Airport on June 4, after a 1-hour 42-minute flight from Cotton Patch Airport in Texas. The Gulfstream G500, tail N308EL, touched down at the company's home base just before 11 p.m. local time.
The flight comes during a pivotal stretch for the 144-year-old drugmaker. In April, Eli Lilly reported first-quarter revenue of $19.8 billion — a 56% year-over-year surge — and boosted its full-year guidance by $2 billion, per a company press release. That same month, the FDA approved Foundayo (orforglipron), the first once-daily oral GLP-1 for weight loss that can be taken without food restrictions. With quarterly earnings calls and regulatory wins behind it, the company appears to be consolidating at headquarters after a flurry of executive travel.
Recent flight logs show Eli Lilly's jets shuttling between Indianapolis, Washington D.C., New York, and San Francisco — typical beats for a pharma giant managing investor relations, federal regulators, and a sprawling pipeline. The Texas detour, while less routine, may hint at site visits or partnerships in a state where Lilly operates manufacturing facilities. For now, the fleet is home, and the work of delivering the next blockbuster continues.
