Eli Lilly flew from a brief stop at Paraport Ultralight Flightpark in New York to Boston Logan International Airport on June 15, a 56-minute hop aboard Gulfstream G500 N307EL. The flight arrived at 10:06 a.m. local time.
The same week, the American Diabetes Association’s 86th Scientific Sessions is underway in Boston, where Eli Lilly presented detailed Phase 3 results for its experimental triple-agonist retatrutide. As reported by Morningstar on June 6, the drug drove an average weight loss of 28.3% in patients with obesity and showed significant improvements in knee osteoarthritis pain and obstructive sleep apnea. CNBC noted that Eli Lilly CEO Dave Ricks and cardiometabolic health president Ken Custer were on hand to discuss the drug’s potential as the company prepares for Medicare coverage of GLP-1 drugs starting July 1.
The flight from New York rather than Indianapolis suggests a prior business stop, but Boston is the clear destination for this week’s industry-defining conference. Eli Lilly’s three Gulfstream G500s have been active this month, with N307EL having flown from Austin to Indianapolis on June 4 and from Fort Lauderdale on June 10 — a pattern of shuttling executives to key medical and regulatory meetings.
