Elon Musk
Elon Musk flew from Centennial, Colorado, to Draughon Miller Central Texas Regional Airport on May 14, a 1-hour-26-minute hop in his Gulfstream G650ER, N628TS. The brief trip to Colorado—his first visit there in weeks, per flight logs—ended with a late-night return to the state where he maintains a SpaceX-rented home near Starbase.
The landing coincides with the scheduled closing arguments in Musk’s lawsuit against OpenAI, which began April 27 in Oakland. Per NBC News, U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers set Thursday, May 14, as the day for final statements to the nine-member jury. Musk testified last month and was placed on recall status, meaning he must be available to return to the stand on short notice; he did not obtain the judge’s permission before traveling to China with President Trump earlier this week, according to two sources cited by NBC News.
The flight pattern suggests Musk is keeping his travel close to home as the trial enters its decisive phase. After a whirlwind week that included a state visit to Beijing aboard Air Force One and a brief stop in Colorado, he is now back in Texas—just in case the judge decides she needs to see him again.
