Elon Musk flew from Twisted T Field, a private airstrip in Texas near his primary residence in Boca Chica, to Teterboro Airport in New Jersey on June 3rd. The Gulfstream G450, tail N450GG, made the 3-hour 13-minute hop in routine fashion for a billionaire whose Gulfstream fleet logged over 350 flights last year.

Teterboro is the standard gateway for New York City, and Musk's arrival lands the same week that multiple outlets, including Bloomberg, report xAI is in the final stages of closing a multibillion-dollar funding round. Musk founded xAI in 2023 and has positioned it as a direct competitor to OpenAI, a company he co-founded and later sued. New York is a prime venue for investor meetings and deal closings.

The G450 flight closes a day that also saw a Musk-owned G650ER hop from Santa Barbara to San Jose, and a separate G550 arrive at Teterboro hours earlier from Los Angeles. Musk has sold all of his California residential properties, but he maintains a heavy presence on both coasts through corporate aircraft shuttling between Starbase, SpaceX's California facilities, and the financial capitals of the East Coast.
