Exelon
Exelon flew from a private airstrip near Moab, Utah, to Eagle County Regional Airport on June 10, a 22-minute hop that followed a longer transatlantic journey from Europe. The Falcon 7X, tail number N496AC, arrived in Colorado the same week Exelon President and Chief Executive Officer Calvin Butler is expected to attend industry meetings in the Vail Valley, a frequent retreat for energy executives.
The trip comes just weeks after Exelon reported first-quarter 2026 earnings on May 6, per a company press release, during which Butler told analysts that “business as usual is not an option” amid soaring residential supply costs. Exelon is shifting $1.5 billion into transmission projects while cutting $350 million in operating costs by 2027, as covered by TD World, and recently withdrew a PECO rate case in Pennsylvania under political pressure from Governor Josh Shapiro.
Exelon’s recent flight history shows the company’s jet has been unusually active, with legs spanning Europe, Maine, and Colorado in the past week. The Eagle County stop suggests a working retreat or investor meetings — a quiet moment to recalibrate after a spring of regulatory pushback and a deliberate pivot toward affordability under what Butler calls “The Exelon Promise.”
