PNC Financial’s Bombardier Global 5000, tail N513DL, lifted off from Allegheny County Airport for a 10-minute circuit on May 12, a brief sortie that typically follows maintenance work. The aircraft, part of the Pittsburgh-based bank’s four-jet fleet, returned to the same airport, logging a maximum altitude of 1,150 feet and ground speed under 1 knot.
The quick flight came the same week PNC Financial revealed first-quarter earnings that beat analyst estimates, per American Banker on April 15. Revenue hit $6.2 billion, boosted by the January acquisition of FirstBank Holding Company, and the bank raised its loan and net interest income guidance for 2026. CEO Bill Demchak earlier vowed to bring the fight to regional competitors coast to coast, as reported by American Banker in January.
The Global 5000 had returned earlier that day from Philadelphia, after a flight from Hazlehurst, Georgia. The May 12 test flight suggests PNC Financial keeps its fleet ready as it navigates a period of expansion and integration.
