Gautam Adani flew from Juhu Aerodrome to Ahmedabad on May 13, a 41-minute hop aboard the Embraer Legacy 650 (VT-AHM). The short trip from Mumbai came at the end of a busy week that saw the chairman of the Adani Group crisscross India by private jet — Delhi on May 10, Ahmedabad on May 11, Mumbai on May 13.
The same week, Adani announced a partnership with Uber to build the ride-hailing company’s first data centre in India, per an NDTV report. The deal was sealed after Adani met Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi in Ahmedabad. Days earlier, at the CII Annual Business Summit in New Delhi, Adani called for India to own its AI infrastructure on home soil, as covered by the Economic Times. He described energy and digital security as the “twin foundations of national power,” per the Financial Express.
The return to Ahmedabad also comes ahead of a May 29 pre-motion conference in the SEC’s civil case against Gautam Adani and his nephew, Sagar Adani, as reported by ET LegalWorld. The court has stayed all briefing until that hearing, where the defendants are expected to move to dismiss the complaint.
