Gautam Adani
Gautam Adani flew from Ahmedabad to Mumbai on May 29 in the Embraer Legacy 650, tail VT-AHM, a 68-minute hop between the two cities. The flight touched down at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport just before noon local time.
The trip arrives the same week Adani Green Energy Ltd. holds a crucial meeting with bondholders in Mumbai, per a Bloomberg report on May 27. The meeting is expected to address restructuring terms for $750 million in notes due 2024, a lingering consequence of the Hindenburg Research report and subsequent SEC indictment of Adani Group executives in November 2024 over an alleged $250 million bribery scheme. Mumbai, home to the Bombay Stock Exchange and the group's corporate headquarters, remains a frequent destination for Gautam Adani as he navigates regulatory and investor scrutiny.
This is Gautam Adani's second flight to Mumbai in May; he also flew from Ahmedabad on May 13. The pattern suggests ongoing face-to-face negotiations with lenders and legal advisors in the financial capital, far from the group's home base in Gujarat.
