Genuine Parts
Genuine Parts flew from Dugger's Field in Alabama to Fulton County Airport in Atlanta on Thursday evening, an 18-minute hop in its Gulfstream G280 (N28GP). The short flight, ending at a general-aviation field just a few miles from the company's Hartsfield-Jackson home base, is likely a repositioning or a local executive move.
The same week, Genuine Parts Company continues to execute its plan to separate its Global Automotive and Global Industrial businesses into two independent public companies, a tax-free transaction announced in February and reaffirmed during its first-quarter earnings report in April (per SEC filing). Chair-Elect and CEO Will Stengel, who added the chairman role in January, is overseeing the restructuring, which remains on track for completion in the first quarter of 2027.
The flight follows a stretch of longer trips: Genuine Parts flew from Toronto to Atlanta on June 2 and from Knoxville to Toronto on June 1, likely for business meetings. With the separation process ongoing and restructuring costs of $57.7 million already incurred this year, these movements underscore a busy period for the Atlanta-based distributor.
