Hess
Hess flew from Guyana to Newark Liberty International Airport on June 11, 2026, a four-hour-and-48-minute trip in the Gulfstream G650ER registered as N1454H. The flight originated near the Stabroek Block, the offshore oil field that was the centerpiece of Chevron’s $53 billion acquisition of Hess Corporation, which closed in July 2025.
The same week, Chevron disclosed a $2.89 billion profit from its Guyana operations in 2025, per a Motley Fool report on June 10, while ExxonMobil reported $4.7 billion from the same block. The Stabroek field is now producing 900,000 barrels per day, with Chevron holding a 30% interest through the Hess acquisition. John Hess, the former CEO, joined Chevron’s board after the FTC lifted its restriction in July 2025.
This flight follows a pattern: Hess’s Gulfstream has shuttled between New Jersey-area airports and Guyana multiple times in recent weeks, including a June 10 trip from Newark to the same coordinates. The aircraft’s home base remains Newark, and the return suggests routine oversight of the combined company’s most valuable asset.
