IBM flew from Boston Logan Airport to Westchester County Airport on Thursday, May 20, 2026, aboard its Gulfstream G650ER N780TW, a 49-minute hop back to headquarters. The flight arrived at 2:03 p.m. local time, the tail end of a week that saw the company’s flagship conference, Think 2026, wrap up in Boston.

The trip lands just two weeks after IBM’s CEO Arvind Krishna opened Think 2026 on May 5, unveiling what the company called its most comprehensive expansion of enterprise AI capabilities, per an IBM newsroom release. Krishna used the keynote to declare that "the enterprises pulling ahead are not deploying more AI — they're redesigning how their business operates," and outlined a new AI operating model built on agents, data, automation and hybrid cloud. Among the major announcements: the next generation of watsonx Orchestrate, the acquisition of Confluent for real-time data streaming, and the general availability of IBM Sovereign Core for digital sovereignty.

The same aircraft made a longer trip on May 19 from Westchester to San Francisco, followed by a hop to Boston on May 20 — suggesting a cross-country swing for the conference before the final leg home. IBM’s security practices require the chairman and CEO to fly on company aircraft, and Krishna’s disclosed personal travel costs have run into six figures in recent years.
