Jeff Bezos
Jeff Bezos flew from Paris-Le Bourget to Tokyo Haneda on June 17–18, a 12-hour transcontinental hop aboard his Gulfstream G700 (N11AF). The flight lands him in Japan just hours after his headline appearance at the VivaTech conference in Paris, where he shared a stage with Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp and former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino.
The trip to Paris was anchored to VivaTech, where Bezos argued that AI will create a labor shortage rather than eliminate jobs, per a BBC report from the event. He also outlined Blue Origin's lunar ambitions, including a permanent Moon presence, and addressed the recent New Glenn rocket explosion. Tokyo, a global hub for robotics and AI, is a natural next stop for Bezos as he promotes his physical AI startup Prometheus and courts Asian partners for Blue Origin's space ventures.
Bezos has increasingly used his G700 for fast-turnaround global appearances: last week he hopped between Texas, Louisiana, and Paris. This Tokyo leg continues a pattern of high-profile business travel, linking his tech and space interests across continents.
