Jim Mellon
Jim Mellon flew from his base at Isle of Man Airport (EGNS) to London Stansted (EGSS) on the morning of June 17, a 51-minute hop aboard his Embraer Phenom 300, M-ELON. The aircraft climbed to 23,025 feet and cruised at 460 knots over the Irish Sea before descending into Essex.
The trip lands Mellon in London the same week he is scheduled to appear on stage at the Master Investor show at the Business Design Centre in Islington on April 25, per an announcement on the Master Investor Substack [masterinvestoruk.substack.com](https://masterinvestoruk.substack.com/p/jim-mellon-interviews-iran-and-investment). Mellon told the publication he will outline opportunities in markets for the forthcoming year. The billionaire, who recently told Business Insider he is bearish on U.S. stocks and bullish on gold and energy [tekedia.com](https://www.tekedia.com/jim-mellon-bearish-on-u-s-stocks-bullish-on-gold-energy-and-determined-to-revolutionize-global-food-systems/), has been a frequent user of the London route: this is his third trip to the capital area in two weeks, with earlier flights on June 4 and June 9.
Mellon has called the Isle of Man his "favourite place on earth" [three.fm](https://www.three.fm/news/isle-of-man-news/billionaire-says-islands-his-favourite-place-on-earth/), but the pattern of repeated London sorties suggests a packed schedule of investor meetings and media appearances as he promotes his contrarian portfolio thesis.
