Johnson & Johnson
Johnson & Johnson flew from Trenton, New Jersey, to Anchorage, Alaska, on the evening of May 17, arriving just after midnight on May 18 aboard its Gulfstream G650ER, tail N400J. The 6-hour-40-minute trip, cruising at 43,000 feet, brought the company’s leadership team to a state that is both a logistical hub for transpacific travel and a frequent stop for executives en route to Asian markets or internal strategy sessions.
The same week, Johnson & Johnson is riding a wave of positive clinical news. On May 5, the company announced that its drug TREMFYA became the first IL-23 inhibitor to show efficacy in perianal fistulizing Crohn’s disease, per a company press release [jnj.com](https://www.jnj.com/media-center/press-releases/johnson-johnson-study-shows-tremfya-guselkumab-is-the-first-and-only-il-23-inhibitor-to-demonstrate-efficacy-in-perianal-fistulizing-crohns-disease). Separately, the company revealed pivotal study results for its investigational OTTAVA robotic surgical system at the ASMBS annual meeting [jnj.com](https://www.jnj.com/media-center/press-releases/johnson-johnson-announces-pivotal-clinical-study-results-for-a-new-soft-tissue-surgical-robotic-system). Anchorage serves as a convenient refueling and crew-change point for the company’s longer-range flights to Asia, where Johnson & Johnson maintains significant manufacturing and research operations.
The flight follows a pattern of recent hops between New Jersey and Washington, D.C., as well as a transatlantic crossing on May 6 that touched down in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The G650ER is the flagship of Johnson & Johnson’s mixed fleet, which also includes a Gulfstream G550, a Citation CJ4, and a helicopter for shuttling between its New Brunswick and Raritan campuses.
