Johnson & Johnson arrives in Trenton after a Jacksonville investment announcement

Johnson & Johnson flew from Potomac Airfield, Maryland, to Trenton Mercer Airport on June 17, a 41-minute hop that landed at 1:40 p.m. local time. The Gulfstream G650ER, tail N400J, originated near Washington, D.C., after what the flight log shows was a string of trips that began with a June 15 rotation to Jacksonville, Florida.

The Jacksonville trip coincided with a $1 billion investment Johnson & Johnsonannounced on June 15 to expand U.S. manufacturing, packaging, and distribution of its ACUVUE contact lenses, per a company press release. The new distribution facility near Jacksonville International Airport is expected to be fully operational by 2028 and supports 3,500 local employees, according to reports from News4Jax and the company. CEO Joaquin Duato appeared on Fox Business the following morning to credit the investment environment and tax policy for the expansion.

The return to Trenton—the company's primary base for its New Brunswick headquarters—follows a pattern of short-haul legs between East Coast facilities. In the past week, the same aircraft also traveled to California and Shannon, Ireland, but the Jacksonville rotation was the only domestic destination tied to a major capital announcement. The flight home suggests the executive team is back in New Jersey to manage the next phase of a $55 billion U.S. manufacturing push.
