The same week this flight landed, Las Vegas Sands is facing a July 15 deadline to respond to a shareholder derivative lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, per court records reviewed by Bloomberg earlier this spring. The suit alleges board-level breaches in oversight of anti-money-laundering compliance at the company's Macau operations. Settlement discussions between the Adelson family's legal team and plaintiff's counsel have been reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal as ongoing in recent weeks.

The flight from Las Vegas to Van Nuys follows a pattern of West Coast trips for the Sands fleet. Earlier in May, N108MS flew from Kansas City to Los Angeles on May 18, and before that from VNY to KLAS on May 11. The brief Van Nuys visit suggests a focused business meeting, not a longer stay — consistent with a face-to-face session to move the litigation toward resolution.
