Max Verstappen
Max Verstappen flew from Birrfeld Airfield in Switzerland to Dresden Airport on June 15, 2026, a 1-hour-19-minute hop in his Dassault Falcon 900EX, PH-DTF. The flight arrived just after 8 p.m. local time, following a day that began with a meeting in Salzburg, Austria, with Red Bull’s Austrian and Thai owners, per a report from De Telegraaf.
The Salzburg meeting, which Verstappen attended with manager Raymond Vermeulen, was arranged to review the 2026 season — not, as speculation had it, to discuss a contract extension, per f1oversteer.com. Verstappen has a release clause that could be triggered this summer if he ranks outside the top two in the standings, and he has publicly threatened to retire over the new engine regulations. The FIA has since tweaked the power-unit split for 2027, which Verstappen called “a good thing” in comments reported by motorsport.com.
Dresden is not among Verstappen’s usual destinations — his Falcon 900EX typically shuttles between his home base in Amsterdam, his Monaco residence, and race circuits across Europe. The brief stop in eastern Germany suggests a private visit or a logistical pivot ahead of the Barcelona Grand Prix weekend, where he will face what he called “the first real test of strength” of the season, per news.verstappen.com.
