On May 12, 2026, an MGM Resorts Embraer Legacy 500 (tail N783MM) completed a multi-leg journey from Las Vegas to Macau via Anchorage and Tokyo, touching down at Macau International Airport. The flight arrived just days after the company announced the launch of 124 new accommodation suites and a 40,000-square-foot premium gaming space at MGM Cotai, as reported by GGRAsia. The suites, converted from three floors, are designed for the premium mass business, and the renovated gaming area includes about 40 tables and 15 private rooms.
The same week, MGM China CEO Kenneth Feng confirmed the rollout of new side bets at its Macau properties, following recent regulatory approvals. MGM Resorts President and CEO Bill Hornbuckle had earlier stated the company remains “under suited” in Macau and plans targeted capital spending to refresh its offerings, including a redesign of about 100 suites at MGM Macau. The trip aligns with those expansion efforts, even as first-quarter adjusted EBITDAR slipped 4% at MGM China due to higher branding fees.
MGM Resorts regularly uses its fleet of four Legacy 500s and two ERJ-190s to shuttle executives and high-rollers between its Las Vegas headquarters and key markets. This journey to Macau—one of its most important international destinations—signals continued investment in the region despite a 16% drop in consolidated net income for Q1, per the company’s April 29 earnings release.
