MGM Resorts flew from Tokyo's Narita International Airport to Macau International Airport on May 12, 2026, aboard its Embraer Legacy 500, tail N783MM. The roughly four-hour hop from Japan's eastern coast to the Chinese special administrative region came just days after MGM China reported a 19% year-on-year surge in daily mass gaming revenue for the first quarter, reaching an all-time high, per the company's earnings release on April 29.
The trip lands in Macau the same week MGM China disclosed it completed a suite conversion at MGM COTAI, adding approximately 60 "Prime Wellness" keys that opened before the May Golden Week, as reported by GGRAsia. CEO Kenneth Feng credited the quarter's performance to "a deep understanding of customers" and ongoing investment in premium-mass offerings, including the new suites and a refreshed MGM MACAU renovation plan.
MGM Resorts maintains a fleet of six business jets, and its Macau operations generated $1.1 billion in net revenue in the first quarter, up 9% year-over-year. The company's Legacy 500s frequently shuttle executives and high-value patrons between Las Vegas and major Asian hubs, though this particular flight originated from Tokyo — likely connected to MGM's Osaka integrated resort project, which CEO Bill Hornbuckle recently called "on time and on budget for a 2030 opening."
