Mukesh Ambani
Mukesh Ambani flew from Navi Mumbai to Doha on May 11, 2026, aboard his Boeing 737 MAX 9 BBJ, VT-AKV. The flight arrived ahead of a state dinner at the Lusail Palace hosted by Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani for US President Donald Trump, per a Reuters report this week.
Ambani was among a small group invited to the dinner, marking his second meeting with Trump since the president's January inauguration, according to Firstpost and BW Businessworld. The visit coincided with Trump witnessing a record $96 billion Qatar Airways-Boeing aircraft deal. No formal business discussions were planned, but Qatar's sovereign wealth fund, QIA, has invested roughly $1 billion in Ambani's retail venture, and Reliance maintains partnerships with US tech firms such as Google and Meta.
Ambani's jet, India's first MAX 9 BBJ, typically shuttles between Mumbai and recurring destinations including Dubai, Muscat, and the Maldives. The Doha trip extends a pattern of high-level diplomatic and business networking: Ambani and his wife Nita attended Trump's inauguration dinner in January and have hosted Trump family members at Reliance events in India.
