Mukesh Ambani flew from Mumbai to Doha on May 14, 2025, aboard his Boeing 737 MAX 9 BBJ, VT-AKV. The flight arrived ahead of a state dinner at the Lusail Palace hosted by Qatar's Emir for U.S. President Donald Trump.
The trip is Mukesh Ambani's second meeting with Trump since the President returned to office in January, per a Reuters report. The dinner coincided with Trump witnessing a record $96 billion Qatar Airways-Boeing aircraft deal. Qatar's sovereign wealth fund, QIA, holds about $1 billion in Reliance's retail venture, and the Emir pledged $10 billion in Indian investments during a February visit.
Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita attended Trump's inauguration dinner in January, and the family has hosted Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner at Anant Ambani's pre-wedding celebrations. No formal business discussions were held in Doha, but the gathering underscores Reliance's deep ties with both U.S. and Gulf leadership.
