Mukesh Ambani flew from bases in Bihar and Assam to Andhau Airfield, near Jamnagar, Gujarat, on June 16, 2026 — a short hop that puts him at the doorstep of Reliance Industries' sprawling industrial campus.

The trip comes just days after Reliance and Meta Platforms announced a 168-megawatt AI-enabled data center at Jamnagar, per a June 11 report by GigaNectar. Meta will lease the capacity and cover energy and water costs; Reliance will build and operate the facility, using desalinated seawater for cooling. It is Meta's first such data center in India and the latest infrastructure layer in a partnership that began with Meta's $5.7 billion Jio investment in 2020.

Mukesh Ambani's Boeing 737 MAX 9 BBJ (VT-AKV) has visited Jamnagar repeatedly — the site hosted his son Anant's pre-wedding gala in 2024 — and the aircraft's recent domestic legs suggest frequent shuttles between Mumbai and Reliance's western Gujarat operations. The data center announcement adds a concrete business reason for the pattern.
