Nassef Sawiris lands in London as Aston Villa season ends and UK tax exit completes
The Egyptian billionaire touches down at Luton the same week his London family office closes for good.

Nassef Sawiris
Nassef Sawiris flew from Essex County Airport in New Jersey to London Luton Airport on June 7, a 6-hour Gulfstream G700 hop that landed just after 10 a.m. local time. The flight originated from a U.S. stopover that followed days of movement between Egypt, Italy, and Greece — a familiar transatlantic rhythm for a man who keeps multiple residences and a sprawling business portfolio.
The same week Sawiris arrived in London, his family office NNS Group completed the closure of its London entity, per regulatory filings covered by Nairametrics and The Arab Today. The shutdown, triggered by the UK’s scrapping of the non-domicile tax regime, marks the end of a year-long exit from Britain. Sawiris has already relocated his personal residency to Italy and Abu Dhabi, and exported personal assets including artworks from the UK in 2025.
Sawiris’s Luton arrival also coincides with the close of Aston Villa’s Premier League season. The club, which he co-owns through V Sports, finished the campaign this week — a plausible reason for a board-level presence in England, even as his tax ties to the country dissolve. The G700, registered as M-YNNS, has been shuttling between European hubs and the U.S. all spring, reflecting a schedule that now treats London as a destination of convenience rather than home.
