Nassef Sawiris
Nassef Sawiris flew from London Luton to Paris–Le Bourget on June 20, a 46-minute hop aboard his Gulfstream G700 (M-USIK). The short trip comes one day after he arrived from Cairo, and just days after returning from a Greek island hop that included Mykonos and Naxos.
The same week, Adidas nominated Nassef Sawiris to replace outgoing chairman Thomas Rabe, per a Billionaires.Africa report in May 2026. The vote is expected at the company’s upcoming annual general meeting. Sawiris holds roughly 6% of Adidas and has served as a supervisory director since 2016; the chairman role would place him among the most prominent non-European figures at the top of a major global consumer brand. Paris, where Adidas maintains European headquarters operations, is a logical stop for pre-meeting discussions.
The flight also fits a pattern. Sawiris, based in Cairo, has shuttled between London and Nice multiple times over the past two weeks, often tied to his role as co-owner of Aston Villa, which won the Europa League in May. Between boardroom milestones and trophy parades, the Gulfstream rarely sits still.
