Nestle landed a Gulfstream G500 (tail N8583A) at Geneva Airport on June 19 after a two-hour flight from Oslo. The aircraft, which had been in Norway since June 15, returned to the company’s home base near its Vevey headquarters.
The return comes the same week Nestle is weighing the sale of its Waters business, as reported by FoodNavigator on June 17. CEO Philipp Navratil has signaled the company may exit the division entirely while facing French investigations into alleged “deceit” over filtration practices and illegal dumping at Contrex and Hépar sites. The complexity has made the sale tougher, per the report, as buyers weigh the risks.
The flight follows a busy week for the aircraft, which shuttled from St. Louis to Boston before heading to Oslo. Nestle executives often use Geneva as their hub for European operations, but this trip suggests face-to-face talks at headquarters may have been the priority as the strategic shift toward RIG-led growth and portfolio simplification—including the April recall of infant formula and the March acquisition of Yfood—continues.
