NextEra Energy flew from Napa County Airport to Teterboro Airport on Tuesday evening, a 4-hour-59-minute trip that arrived just after midnight Wednesday. The company’s Embraer Praetor 600, tail N47MW, made the cross-country hop at 45,000 feet.
The same week, NextEra Energy’s senior management team is participating in investor meetings across the country as part of a roadshow running through June, according to a May 4 press release on the company’s investor relations site. The New York area is a natural stop for meetings with institutional investors and analysts.
The flight is the latest in a busy stretch for NextEra Energy’s aviation department. The Praetor 600 visited Washington, D.C., Orlando, and Napa in recent days, consistent with the company’s pattern of regular travel for executive presentations and regulatory engagements. The trip comes as NextEra Energy pushes forward with plans to build up to 41.5 GW of solar and 8 GW of gas generation, as reported by Utility Dive, reflecting the booming demand from data centers.
