NextEra Energy
NextEra Energy flew from Essex County Airport in New Jersey to Palm Beach International Airport on Thursday evening, a 2-hour 33-minute hop aboard its Embraer Praetor 600, tail N47MW. The flight arrived just after 6 p.m. local time.
The trip home comes the same week NextEra Energy executives fanned out for investor meetings through May and June, per a company press release on May 4. The company is riding a record quarter: it contracted 4 GW of new generation in Q1 2026, including 2.2 GW of solar and 1.3 GW of battery storage, as CEO John Ketchum told analysts on an April 23 earnings call covered by Utility Dive. The surge is driven by data-center demand, with Ketchum noting the company now builds 2-to-5 GW projects for hyperscalers.
The pattern fits NextEra Energy's recent movements. The same aircraft flew from Palm Beach to San Francisco on May 11, then to New Jersey on May 12, before returning to Florida Thursday — a route that mirrors the company's push to market its "bring-your-own-generation" model to tech and industrial clients, as detailed in the same earnings call.
