NextEra Energy
NextEra Energy flew from Palm Beach International to Teterboro Airport on May 16, touching down at 2:36 p.m. local time in a 2-hour-40-minute hop aboard its Embraer Praetor 600, tail N31MW. The short flight from headquarters puts the executive team in the New York metro area for a series of meetings.
The trip aligns with NextEra Energy's previously announced investor roadshow. On May 4, the company issued a news release stating that members of senior management would “participate in various investor meetings throughout May and June” to discuss long-term growth rates and reaffirm the outlook presented on the first-quarter earnings call. The same call revealed a record 4 GW of new generation contracts and a proposed $150 million settlement to end a lawsuit tied to Florida Power & Light's political activities.
This is not an isolated visit. Flight logs show NextEra Energy's aircraft made three trips to the New York area in the past week alone, and a swing through San Francisco earlier in the month suggests a busy spring for investor outreach. With power demand surging from data centers and a $20 billion transmission buildout on the horizon, Ketchum & Co. have plenty to discuss.
