Novartis
Novartis flew from Zürich to Morristown Municipal Airport on June 17, landing just after 3 a.m. local time on June 18. The Dassault Falcon 7X, tail number HB-JFQ, made the eight-hour transatlantic crossing from LSZH to KMMU, the general aviation airport closest to the company's US headquarters in East Hanover, New Jersey.
The same week, Novartis is grappling with the aftermath of a disappointing first quarter. Per a Reuters report on April 28, the company missed earnings estimates after generic rivals crushed sales of its blockbuster heart drug Entresto, which fell 42% year-over-year. CEO Vas Narasimhan has been publicly warning about the "very difficult situation" posed by the Trump administration's most-favored-nation drug pricing policy, telling CNBC that its full impact will hit in the next 18 months. The trip also follows the company's April 30 announcement of a seventh new US manufacturing facility, in Morrisville, North Carolina, as part of a $23 billion investment to shift production stateside.
This is Novartis's second trip to the New York area in three weeks. The aircraft flew from Basel to Morristown on May 28, then back to Basel the same day, before returning to the US on June 11 for a Boston-area visit. The pattern suggests a sustained executive push to manage the company's US operations during a period of intense regulatory and competitive pressure.
