Peter Thiel flew from Los Angeles International Airport to Victoria International Airport on June 19, a 2-hour-16-minute trip in his Gulfstream V (N878DB), a 2007 aircraft that has been quieter than usual since late 2024.
The same week, leaked internal records exposed Dialog, Thiel's invitation-only society, per reporting by Wired and covered by outlets including the Hollywood Reporter and Futurism. The leak revealed plans for an August 12–16 retreat outside Dublin with session titles including "Navigating WWIII," "Build-a-Cult," and "How's Your Sex Life?" — topics that mirror Thiel's long-standing public concerns about AI, nuclear conflict, and existential risk. The leaked registration list included Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale, Senator Ted Cruz, and YouTube CEO Neal Mohan.
Victoria is not a typical destination for Thiel, whose Gulfstream V has mostly shuttled between LA, San Francisco, Hawaii, and New York in recent years. The reason for this particular flight is not publicly documented, but the timing — days after the Dialog leak broke — suggests either a private meeting in the Pacific Northwest or a stop en route to his reported New Zealand property, a country where he obtained citizenship in 2011.
