Phil Knight flew from Redmond, Oregon, to his home base at Hillsboro Airport on Monday evening, a 23-minute hop in his Gulfstream G500. The aircraft, N19HT, departed Roberts Field at 10:41 p.m. local time and touched down at KHIO just before 11:05 p.m., according to flight tracking data.
The short round trip is consistent with Knight's recent flight patterns. On May 18 alone, N19HT made two trips between Hillsboro and central Oregon, following visits on May 14 to Palm Springs and Phoenix, and a May 15 return from the Sisters area. Knight keeps a personal hangar at Hillsboro Airport built for his fleet, which also includes the Gulfstream G650 registered as N1KE, per a Times of India report on his $7.6 million hangar investment.
No public events or appearances are listed at Redmond this week that would explain the quick turn, and Knight is known to spend time at properties in the central Oregon region. The flight likely represents a routine visit to the day after a long weekend or a private visit. Knight and his wife Penny committed $2 billion to the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute in August 2025, the largest single donation to a U.S. college, as covered by OPB, and the couple maintains a low-profile lifestyle outside Hillsboro.
