Ronald Perelman flew from Orlando Executive Airport to Geneva International Airport on June 5, a 7-hour-57-minute trip aboard his Gulfstream G650, N838MF. The flight arrives the same week Perelman is testifying in a New York trial over a $410 million insurance claim for five artworks he says were damaged in a 2018 fire at his East Hampton estate, the Creeks, per a report from Claims Journal.
The trial, which began June 2, centers on paintings by Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly, and Edward Ruscha that Perelman argues lost their luster after the blaze. Insurers, including affiliates of Lloyd's of London and Chubb, have questioned whether the works were genuinely damaged, noting they paid out over $100 million for other pieces from the same fire. Perelman, 82, took the witness stand on Tuesday, describing how the colors on a Warhol soup can were "no longer popping."
Geneva is not among Perelman's typical recurring destinations, but the flight from Orlando — where he had been earlier in the week — suggests a brief detour before or after court proceedings. His home base remains East Hampton, and his recent travel pattern shows frequent trips between Colorado, Texas, and Florida, with this Swiss leg marking a rare European stop.
