Ronald Perelman
Ronald Perelman flew from Morristown Municipal Airport to Orlando Executive Airport on June 16, a 2-hour 18-minute hop in his Gulfstream G650 (N838MF). The flight comes just two days after the passing of his 15-year-old son, Oscar, on the island of St. Maarten, as reported by middletownfire.org. Oscar, born via surrogate in 2010, was described as a “kind, smart child” who battled a longstanding medical issue.
The trip to Orlando is not unusual for Perelman — the city appears regularly in his flight history, including a round-trip to Geneva earlier this month and a series of flights from Colorado and California in late May. But this week’s visit follows an event that transcends any boardroom dispute. The same middletownfire article notes that Perelman, often seen as a titan of finance, is now simply a father mourning a profound loss.
Perelman’s recent public life has also included the ongoing $410 million art insurance trial stemming from a 2018 fire at his East Hampton compound, The Creeks. A trial concluded in June 2025, per insurancejournal.com, with a decision still pending. For now, however, the flight to Orlando speaks to a far more personal matter — one that no amount of wealth can mitigate.
