Target Corporation operated a Gulfstream G280 from Colorado Springs to Westchester County Airport on May 14, arriving after a three-and-a-half-hour flight. The aircraft, tail N686BE, had briefly visited Colorado Springs the previous day before heading east to serve the New York metro area.
The trip comes the same week Target detailed its most extensive in-store transformation in a decade, a $5 billion investment covering more than 130 remodels and 30 new stores this year. New York City is one of ten designated priority markets for the upgrades, which include expanded grocery sections, redesigned displays and modernized checkout areas, per a company announcement on May 11.
The Westchester arrival follows a pattern of recent Target corporate travel: the same Gulfstream flew to the Washington, D.C., area earlier in the week, and the jet's past week includes trips between Minneapolis headquarters, North Carolina and Florida — suggesting a concerted swing through key regions as the retailer executes its turnaround strategy under new CEO Michael Fiddelke.
